From Materials to Full-Scale Testing | PURSUE

Laboratory experiments are an essential part of understanding how building materials and structural systems perform under different conditions.

As part of the PURSUE Project’s Second Face-to-Face Training Program, participants took part in laboratory studies on earth-based building materials, including empirical and standard testing methods, followed by full-scale experimental studies at Düzce University.

The training provided an opportunity to follow the experimental process from material preparation and testing to the observation of structural behaviour and damage patterns.

Through hands-on activities, participants gained practical knowledge of testing procedures, experimental observations, and the interpretation of results, connecting material-based research with real-scale structural performance.
